Sited in the southern foot of Jiuling mountains,the lithium chinastone deposit from us was formed in
the later Yanshan period(about130,000,000 years ago) by the intrusive acidic magma of epizonal vein
(or super-epizonal vein)along the diaclases.It is composed of more than ten mineral veins of felsite in
lithology and its proved reserves have come up to 60 million tons.The main mineral compositions
are feldspar ,quartz,sericite and kaolinite,and the main chemical compositions are SiO2,Al2O3,Li2O,K2O,Na2O,
but with extremely low coefficient of Fe2O3 and Ti2O.The ore deposit of simiar kind can not be found yet in
China recently.
